5 Most Awaited Smartphones of 2017 & 2018

With regular updates, the technology World has taken up a new turn. With evolving technology the smartphone world has come a long way. 1. APPLE iPHONE 8

Apple is all set to go big on it’s 10th anniversary. The company is expected to launch 3 models instead of two. Apple will launch the usual iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus along with a premium model iPhone 8.

The phone is expected to be of all glass design, OLED bezel-less display and it is rumored that it will be one of the best bezel-less upcoming smartphones. The expected screen size is said to be of 5.8-inch with a Quad HD display with a resolution of 2800 x 1248 pixels. It will be powered by Apple 10 SoC along with 4GB of RAM. Other rumors say that iPhone8 will feature wireless charging along with biometric sensors such as facial recognition or iris scanning.  The cameras are expected to be 12MP dual clicking 3D images.

With recent launches of 7 series the company is all set to again make sensation in the market. So, the wait of next iPhone 8 has already been started. The crowd is always crazy for the Apple phones and we all expect something more unique from upcoming iPhones.  

2. SAMSUNG GALAXY S9/S9+

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be rocking the smartphone world by early 2018. The flagship smartphone are expected to come with 5.8 inch and 6.2 inch respectively, supporting HD+ Infinity displays with dual curved edges. The devices are expected to be powered by Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor with 6 or 8 GB of RAM for multitasking, there will be 128GB memory on board.  

The smartphones are said to run on TouchWiz UI based on Android 8.0 Oreo OS. The camera is expected to have a 13MP dual lens setup at the back and 16MP selfie camera at least if not more. Along with fingerprint sensors the smartphones are expected to feature an Iris scanner and a heart rate scanner. Talking about the battery, S9 will carry a 3300mAh battery and S9+ will come with a 3600mAh battery with fast charging via both wired and wireless modes.

3. NOKIA 9

2017 is the year when Nokia came back to the smartphone business. Nokia launched phones running on Android OS and the upcoming device that is rumored to come is Nokia 9. As we all know Nokia made an agreement with HMD; which means that HMD can now manufacture smartphones under Nokia brand. We all know that from long time Nokia was searching for a world class partner to do a comeback in the smartphone world.

The Nokia 9 is rumored to be powered by latest Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor and will be available in 3 different RAM variants- 4GB/ 6GB/ 8GB. The smartphone is going to feature a two screen display variants 5.3 inches and 5.2 inches with Quad HD display and curved edges.

Nokia 9 will also have a 13MP dual lens setup for rear camera and 13MP front camera for selfies. 128GB onboard storage and fingerprint sensor will also be included along with 3210mAh battery with quick charge capability. We are also expecting wired charging as they are using this feature from their Windows phone days.

4. GOOGLE PIXEL 2/ PIXEL XL 2

Google smartphones Pixel and Pixel XL came out in 2016 and we expect the successors to be available till 2018. So, Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2, which are the upcoming smartphones will be announced in October 2017.

The key features of the smartphones are expected to be 5 inch FHD display and 6 inch of QHD display respectively. They are  to be powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 octa-core processor. Under the hood the phones may have 4GB of RAM and if pushed more than we might also see 6GB of RAM. Running on Android 8.0 Oreo the smartphone will feature dual lens setup of 12MP or more. There will be usual fingerprint scanner but can also feature an Iris scanner. The battery power expected are 3000mAh in Pixel 2 and 3600mAh in Pixel XL 2 with both wireless and fast charging with 5G network enabled.

5. HTC U12

HTC will disclose its next smartphone HTC U12 in March at MWC 2018.  The smartphone is expected to come with a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ dual curved edge glass display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor like most of the front runners. For multitaskers, the smartphone will be packed with gigantic 8GB of RAM, which will be more than its predecessor, the HTC U11.

However the exact specifications of the smartphones are not known, thus we need to take information with a pinch of salt. The device is said to run on HTC Sense 9.0 UI based on Android 8.0 Oreo OS. U12 is to be featured with two 12MP rear cameras along with 16MP selfie camera. In the power section the company is to feature 3200mAh battery with fast and wireless charging technology. There will be the usual fingerprint sensor but it might also feature an Iris scanner, but we are not sure about it at this moment.
